How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Well I was hoping to post some cool new artwork this week along with a couple of journals, but my dear little sweetheart Hurricane Sandy had other ideas.

As I sit here in my local library using their power and internet, two things my house doesn't have, I'm scrabbling to stay on deadline with 3 different and unrelated to each other projects. I'll be posting art for all 3 here soon.

In the meantime, anyone with any spare cash, there are victims around the coast that need help. The Red Cross actually seem to not be needing much so take a look where else you can donate or just buy creators books who have been affected by the damage.

For instance, the new issue of Heavy Metal (number 259) just went on sale and it would most definitely help me if you brought a copy.

Hopefully we shouldn't be without power for much longer and I'll give you an update and the journals I've been promising.

Yeah I heard NYC and the coastal areas got hammered, can't believe that power sub-station blew up in lower Manhattan! It went right over me here in PA but luckily we got nothing. Hope normalcy is slowly returning for you!

Cheers man, yeah things for me have pretty much returned to normal but lower Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn and New Jersey are still suffering and there's another storm coming in around Wednesday.
