This is the first actual WEIRDING WILLOWS story I wrote.
Because it will take some time before the full group gets together I decided to do a few stories set after they've assembled as a team. These were designed as teasers into the world, how the characters interrelated and set up some of the physics behind the concept.
In this story the group are settling down for a dinner that will cooked by Alice (Moreau) and Victor Stoker (the Badger from Wind in the Willows).
The group is rife with tensions and hidden agendas that I wanted to hint at here.
For starters, Alice is considered by Damon (Frankenstein's monster), Mowgli, Hoetoe (the White Rabbit), Terry James (Ratty also from Wind in the Willows) and Maia (Thumbellina) as the leader of the group. Victor doesn't want to be the leader but he doesn't like to take orders or advice.
Tom Fulke (Tom Thumb) and Maia recently escaped from the fairy world of Mag Mell that is ruled by the Great God Pan's regent, Oberon. Davey Pan is Oberon's so and brother of Peter. Maia would like nothing more than to slice Davey from top to bottom. What she doesn't know is that Davey like most of those born in the fairy realm are children stolen from Earth and reborn in Mag Mell in the shadow of the Great God Pan's body. He and Oberon don't get on and Davey has no intention of going back to Mag Mell.
Then there is Victor Stoker, Terry James and Morris Moore (Badger, Ratty and Mole). Victor isn't the most sociable of creatures and has been known to bite others heads off, quite literally. Yet he has allowed Terry and Morris into his home. Victor in particular has taken to Morris and Morris has taken to Victor as a mentor. Morris has become a voracious reader and has taken to the sciences beyond Victor's wildest dreams. He finally has someone to talk about his books with.
Unfortunately Terry just wants to take Morris out for picnics, boating trips and chat up the fairer sex in the village of Weir.
Morris is torn and he certainly doesn't want to risk losing access to Victor's library...
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks!!!
