Okay, so here is the layout for the very first story page of THE WEIRDING WILLOWS. It will be a short story that will appear in the September issue of Heavy Metal (on sale July) and drawn by Barnaby Bagus [link]
The story is set after the first big story I'm doing but it features most of the group together. The setting is VIKTOR STOKER's house (Badger from Wind in the Willows) and he and ALICE (from Wonderland) are making a meal for their friends.
Just for fun I'm posting this and the page with a slight redo with an explanation why the change was made and how a small change can be important.
This page is the revised version...
The main change here is the last panel where TERRY JAMES (Ratty) is now looking over at MORRIS MOORE (Mole). There is a discussion going on between Alice and Viktor about the two and which one needs the others friendship more. The fact that Terry is looking at Morris and Morris is looking elsewhere gives a big clue as who needs the other more.
